Flat 2 Claremont House 15 Poplar Road Solihull B93 8DD Attended the property to investigate the issues of mould and damp as reported. Rather than carrying out surface-level treatment only, we always aim to identify and address the root cause of the issue to prevent recurrence. Following further investigation, it was identified that the external brickwork directly outside the affected area has failed, with the pointing being perished and allowing moisture to penetrate through the structure. This is contributing to the damp conditions internally and the subsequent mould growth. To resolve the issue long term, we recommend carrying out repointing works to the affected section of external brickwork to reinstate the integrity of the wall and prevent further water ingress. Once the source of moisture has been addressed, we can then carry out internal remedial works, which will include cleaning, treating and repainting the affected areas to match the existing finishes.
